I am Adriana Kirwin and this summer I was hired as an intern for MCG and Co.. Going into this summer I knew nothing about the world of HR and was just excited to have another job. This job has taught me so much and I'm so glad I was given this opportunity.
About Me...
I am going into my senior year of high school and I see myself going into psychology in my future. I have always loved writing so when I was offered this job I took it almost immediately. I work two jobs and I love them because I enjoy my work. This summer internship has taught me a lot about a world I never really even knew existed before. HR is an expanding field that I'm glad I got to learn a lot about this summer.
How this internship has helped me...
This internship has benefited me in many aspects. This summer I got to work on my writing and got to test out some different writing styles. I got to work with Alex who is the definition of a girl boss which has inspired me in so many ways I wouldn't be able to fit it all into this blog. This internship has helped me by taking my work ethic and drive to work to another level.
What I have learned...
I have learned about the ins and outs of the world of HR which I can use in many ways throughout my future. HR aside I have learned a lot about myself. I love to write and come up with new ideas to expand MCG and company. I have learned how to work alongside others but still obtain the freedom to do my work. I now know that running a business is no joke and is very time-consuming.
This summer internship was so meaningful to me and I'm so glad to have been given this opportunity to work alongside some very powerful, inspiring women. I will forever be grateful to have been given this opportunity to learn, grow, and mature in more ways than imaginable.
